You know those wooden clogs worn by the Dutch?  Well, they’re called klompen. There are some small villages where klompen are still worn, but they are used only outdoors.  I don’t know, they look really uncomfortable to me!

    Great image!! Someone has to keep up the tradition, I think that the Doctor of shoe inserts came from there. LOL

  4. Klompen kun je goed op lopen.
    Het Internationaal Klompenmuseum in Eelde (Nederland) heeft de belangrijkste en 1 van de grootste collecties klompen en schoeisel met houten zool uit ruim 40 landen. De collectie bestaat uit ruim 2.200 paar verschillende. In 2009 heeft het museum een grote collectie uit Frankrijk kunnen aankopen
